  • Dzeko one Step from the Transfer, Chelsea and Roma agreed on the Price

first_imgThe captain of the national football team of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) and Roma striker, Edin Dzeko, has been actively linked with the transfer to London’s “Chelsea” for seven days, and the his fate, according to the Italian media, should be known in the next 24 hours.“Tuttomercatoweb” reports that Dzeko will be left out of the Roma starting lineup for the match with Sampdoria on Wednesday, adding that Radja Nainggolan, Patrik Schick and Gregoire Defrel will be the strikers.Eusebio Di Francesco, the Roma coach said on the Tuesday’s press conference that everyone counts on the best striker of Serie A from the last season, and that he will be part of the starting lineup for the match in the third round of Italian Cup, unless the situation with his transfer does not change until then.Renowned Gianluca Di Marzio has revealed yesterday that Chelsea and Roma have agreed on the price of a 50 million (plus ten million in bonuses) for the transfer of Emerson Palmieri and Edin Dzeko, and adds that the only thing left is that the BH striker agrees with the London club about the conditions, which the Brazilian player has already done. The biggest problem in negotiations between the two sides can be the fact that Chelsea has not signed up contracts in duration of several years with players older than 30 in the past, including legends like Lampard, Drogba and Terry, but some English media have said that Dzeko could get a two-year contract who will connect him to the club by 2020, which he would agree to.It should be noted that Chelsea has tried to bring Dzeko to its team in the past, more precisely at the time when Jose Mourinho was Chelsea’s manager, and Edin player of the Manchester City, but there was no final agreement among them at the end.Besides Dzeko, who is currently really close to getting Chelsea jersey, England’s current Champion showed interest for Ashley Barnes from Burnley, Marko Arnautovic from West Ham, and the English media went so far that they even connected Peter Crouch with the club from Stamford Bridge. What was known earlier, the first potential candidate of Roman Abramovich was the West Ham’s striker, Andy Carrol, whom Conte did not want in his team, and because of the new injury, the Englishman was not an option for a potential reinforcement anymore. • Amber Schmitz, Sumner Newscow writer, to present “History of Drury” at SCHGS meeting next Monday

first_imgAmber CountrymanSubmitted to Sumner Newscow — On Monday, August 24, at 6:30 p.m, Amber Schmitz, a Sumner Newscow writer, will present “The History of Drury” to Sumner County Historical and Genealogical Society members and guests at the Good Taste Chinese Buffet, 1311 E. 16th. St., Wellington.  No cost for the program; guests are welcome, and meal time is 5:30 to 6:30 p.m..  For possible weather cancellations, contact Jane Moore at 620-447-3266 or the restaurant at 620-399-8401.When Amber Schmitz moved to Drury at the age of 7, she enjoyed playing on the old schoolhouse playground and walking over the cement bridge that was built over the Chikaskia River in the 1920’S. She also enjoyed the interesting stories that she began hearing about her new hometown. The stories fascinated her. There were stories about a booming little river resort with boats, a beach, and a hotel for the vacationers that came by train and stagecoach. And there were stories about a grocery store owner that disappeared and nearly 100 years later, may (or may not) be ‘buried’ in one of the cement bridge supports.  And there was also a story about a man that woke up, saw an axe hanging just over his head, and screamed so loud that all the dogs barked and the neighbors all woke up.Schmitz found these stories compelling, and she has written them down, collected photographs, and explored the possibilities of some of the legends being true. “I’ve wanted to write a book about Drury since I was 14 or 15,” Schmitz said, “Every time some older person told me something, I went home and wrote it down in a notebook.”If you have photographs or stories about Drury, Schmitz would very much like to connect with you for the book she is working on.  Follow us on Twitter. I need the contact information though too. It shows the old mill and everything as Drury used to appear.
